The Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County

The closest branch for us is the Delhi Township Branch. It is located near Delhi Park, at 5095 Foley Road.  

 

Library card options for students:

• Unlimited Card: This card requires that the adult is present at the library to sign for the card. Someone with this card can check out as many and any items they want. This card can accrue fines and late fees.

• Child-only Card: This card does not require an adult to obtain it. If a child has an Unlimited card, even one with fines, the child can still receive this card. The Child-only card limits the borrow to three print items, but unlimited access to digital materials. 

 

The library pays for a number of sites that cardholders can use. The user only needs to go to cincinnatilibrary.org. Under the "eBranch" option, there is a last option that says "For Kids." Here, students and parents will find sites they can use simply by putting in their card number.

 

PLCH sites for student use:

• Overdrive: Digital books and audiobooks for download. 

• Scholastic BookFlix: Combines video storybooks with nonfiction texts.

• TumbleBooks: This site has games and lessons in a number of topics, music, and the ability to read many popular books from your web browser. This is great for students who can't check out a physical book or download an ebook.
